A shuttle service from conference hotels to the registration desk (UFRJ) will be offered.

The registration desk will also be open on Monday, July 31, from 07h00 to 16h00 and the remaining days (except for Friday) from 07h30 to 16h30.

After dinner, at 22h30, there will be a dance performance of several Brazilian rhythms by Carlinhos de Jesus dance company.

Transportation

A shuttle service from Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport to conference hotels will be available for ISMP 2006 participants at the following departure dates and times:

July 27 – 08h00 – 10h30 – 13h30 – 23h00
July 28 – 09h00 – 10h30 – 13h30 – 19h30
July 29 – 10h30 – 13h30 – 21h00 – 24h00
July 30 – 08h00 – 10h30 – 13h30 – 20h00 – 23h00

Free transportation from conference hotels will be provided to conference sites every morning during the meeting and back to the hotels after the last session.

Monday – 06h45
Tuesday through Friday – 07h30

From UFRJ to conference hotels:
Monday through Thursday – 18h45 and Friday – 12h30
In case you miss the bus or want to come/leave at other times, it is strongly recommended that you take a taxi. Conference hotels are located only a 5-15 minute drive from the conference site.

Notes on the military auditoriums

ISMP participants are required to present the conference badge at the entrance of the military institutes and to dress accordingly for plenary and semi-plenary sessions. Shorts, sandals and sleeveless shirts are strictly forbidden. Entrance will be denied to those who do not abide by these rules.

No smoking, food or beverages will be allowed inside the auditoriums.

Parallel Sessions – UFRJ campus (Praia Vermelha)

Lecture rooms are provided with the following equipment:

Overhead projector
Beamer
Computer (software installed: Power Point, Acrobat Reader, Open Office)

Each session takes 90 minutes, comprising three 30-minute talks (question/answer time is included).

Safety & Security

In order to ensure safety, never walk across the tunnel that links Copacabana to Botafogo (Túnel Novo). Taxis are safe and cheap.
On the other hand, it is safe to walk from UFRJ campus to the nearby military institutes (a 15-minute walk only). The whole area will be constantly monitored by the military police.
